Mountain biking is on the sched for this coming Saturday again. It was a lot of fun the last time we went, and we’re hoping the weather will hold out again for this time around.

Times: 10:00am-12:00
NHCC members: FREE
Non-NHCC members: $5 per ride (plus the signing of a waiver)
Start location: The parking lot at Beagle Club Road. (about a mile and a half down the road off hwy#45)
Ride Leader: Vivian Vandenhazel

Bring your friends, bring your neighbour, bring your Aunt. It’s fun, and you’ll bring smiles to their faces (as long as they have mountain bikes, that is) Bike helmets are mandatory—no helmet, no ride!

  1. The plan is to ride Green A loop which is 13 km. This includes the Hogs Back which is steep hill but can be walked. Thanks to the markers put up, this is straight forward as riders follow the green markers and read the maps that are posted. If you want a map this can be printed from the County of Northumberland website. If you need a few minutes to get ready, arrive early so we can leave at 10 am. Don’t forget water bottles.

  2. I’d recommend wearing tall socks for any rides in Northumberland forest. They’re making progress with poison ivy control but there’s still of of it out there and it’s getting taller by the day.
