It’s your opportunity to help direct the NHCC! At this year’s AGM we’ll be seeking to fill three vacancies in the Board of Directors. Both Debbie Parks and Maria Siemiaszko will be eligible for re-election into two of the three vacancies, but after 6 years, Anita Macklin’s final term is set to expire in October, creating one new vacancy. Want to work alongside a great bunch of individuals whose primary goal is to make the NHCC as awesome as it can be? Enthusiasm makes you eligible!
How much time is involved?
We meet 3-5 times a year, usually at someone’s house. Sometimes we use email (when appropriate) to exchange ideas.
What do Directors do on the Board?
We make decisions about ride leader training, put together the groovy ride calendar, organize off-season activities, plan safety training, organize Membership Night and make decisions about fees and policies. The secretary takes notes, the treasurer takes care of finances, and the remaining directors pitch in with planning of all activities.
How many Directors are there?
The Board has 7 directors and has been operating at full capacity. A director’s term runs for up to three years and a director can run for two terms (for a total of 6 years).

If either you (self-nomination is permitted) or someone else you know has the spirit to help the NHCC grow and prosper, please complete the nomination form below: (no worries, the only information that we’ll publish is the name of the nominee and who nominated them). Please note that it’s highly recommended that you consult with your nominee prior to ensure they are in agreement. Election will take place at the 2017 Annual Meeting and Social Soiree.
