Monday, February 26th: Rafting Presentation at the Loft

This is not an official club event but since we’re an outdoorsy and adventurous bunch there may be some who would be interested in a free presentation at The Loft by Canadian River Expeditions and Nahanni River Adventures owner Neil Halting. It would be nice if anyone interested in going would leave a comment below.  There’s always the opportunity to make this more of a social event if you want to arrange to meet up for dinner and drinks beforehand!

Date:  Monday,  February 26th
Time:  7:00
Location:  The Loft Cinema, 201 Division Street, Cobourg

  1. Tara Wilson says:

    Definitely interested

  2. Randy Albon says:

Anita and I plan on going.
A Social before or afterwards would be nice

  3. Deena jilesen says:

Neil and I would like to join you all as well. Dinner sounds like a great idea as well. 😊

  4. Pam Tate says:

I’d like to join you too! Dinner beforehand sounds like a plan. Tara, will you need a ride? If so, phone me – still no internet at home – and we can arrange it. Will someone please let me know where/when we will meet for dinner? 🙂 also, I think you need to email Ken at the Loft to let him know you are coming.

  5. Pam Tate says:

I’ve let him know that six of us would like to attend.

  6. Deb Parks says:

I would like to join in too. Dinner would be great too.

  7. Pam Tate says:

Deb, I’ll let Ken know that we’ll be seven now. Tara, thanks for letting me know that you have wheels. Any plan yet for dinner?

  8. Marianne says:

Make it 8 ! – I am in for dinner too.

  9. Anita Macklin says:

Ok, so we should think about a dinner venue. Corfu Grill is an option though it’s rather small. Golden Chopsticks? Buttermilk?

  10. Tara Wilson says:

Can we get confirmation where we are meeting for dinner and what time? I plan to go to the Cycle Transitions thing at 4 too, though i can’t find the link now.

  11. Anita Macklin says:

I sense a leaning toward Buttermilk based on bits and pieces of discussions I’ve heard. How about we make dinner reservations for 5:00 or 5:30? What time works best for everyone?

  12. Jen says:

I think Diane and I will be at Cycle Transitions town hall meeting also. See you at 3:50 inside Vic Hall.

  13. Anita Macklin says:

Update: apparently the Bulltermilk is closed on Monday’s so we need another option for 10 people. How about either the Cat n Fiddle, or Oasis. Anyone?

  14. Deb says:

    I’m good with anywhere.
Is Corfu Grill too small for 10? I haven’t been and would like to try it.
Oasis, golden chopsticks would both be close too.
Whatever is open and can seat all of us.

  15. Deena jilesen says:

Oasis or if Corfu grill would fit us is fine by me.

  16. Jen says:

    Oasis is always nice

  17. Anita Macklin says:

Corfu Grill is very tiny and I don’t think 10 people would fit comfortably. Let’s say Oasis at 5:15. I can call and reserve for 10 people. The reservation will be under my name. See you all there.

  18. Deena jilesen says:

    Thanks Anita for arranging this!

  19. Tara Wilson says:

Thanks Anita for arranging this! Neil sure did have a lot of information!!
