Sunday, November 11th: Afternoon Hike

Rick and Maaike have offered to lead a hike on Sunday. It will follow the Oak Ridges trail with a return loop along Dunbar Road. We will begin and end at the Morris Road parking lot on Hwy 45. The hike will be about 8 or 9 kms and take between 2 and 2.5 hours. It has some challenging climbs.

Start Time: 1:00
Meeting Location: Morris Road parking lot (on the right side of 45 just before Beagle Club Road)
Hike Leaders: Maaike Berg and Rick Nonnekes

    Be sure to wear your “hunter orange” attire as this is deer hunting time on that side of Hwy.45. I may join in the “fun”.

    I plan to do this hike as well. It should be interesting and challenging.
    By the way, Sunday is actually November 11th, Remembrance Day, in case anyone else is planning to attend memorial services before joining the hike.

    Challenging hills is right…both up AND down so if I am able to make it I’ll be sure to bring along two trekking poles this time.

    We checked out the route today; icers will be helpful. Not required (one of us went without) but they will guarantees grip.
