Tues Aug 20, Level 2 Ride: St. Mary’s Grafton, 6pm
Note, Tuesday’s ride is a “Steady” ride with more stops and a more moderate Level 2 pace.
David Hutzel is taking us out Grafton way so we can cool down a bit by the lake. Here is his description of the ride: “We’ll start again from St. Mary’s church parking lot and head south on Station road. Turning left at the stop sign at Orchard Grove we’ll follow the lakefront route past Wicklow Beach to Lakeport where we’ll turn around and follow the same scenic route back to the finish. A distance of mostly flat 23k but with regular stops for hydration and regrouping, we’ll be back before you know it.”
****Please bring your lights!!! we are having earlier sunsets. No Lights? No Problem! Cycle Transitions the awesome Cobourg Community Bike Shop has lots of affordable lights! *****

Thurs Aug 22, Level 2 Ride:Donegan Park Cobourg, 6pm
Baltimore and Back Version 2
Jim Berg is doing the Thursday “Training Ride” (that is, gradually building up stamina for hills and or longer distances or speed within the Level 2 parameters with slightly fewer rest stops so that riders can condition themselves to move to L3 if they wish).
Route: North on D’Arcy, to Elgin, East to Greer Road, North to Danforth, East to Nagel, North to Hircock, back on Nagel, East on Van Luven, loop through Baltimore and then South on Meadowvale, Nagel, Hircock, Nagel, East on Danforth, South on Jarvis, East on Elgin, South on Workman, from Highway 2 follow Waterfront Trail back to Donegan Park. About 23 to 25 km.
This route has a couple of hills but they are not steep. For these hills, slow and steady works very well.
On the way back on Danforth instead of going down Workman, there is the option of continuing on Danforth and doing Hill 60.
Reminder: Make sure you have working lights.
Start Time: 6:00 pm
Ride Leader: Jim Berg
Start Location: Donegan Park, 25 D’Arcy Street, Cobourg
