Cancelation Monday, September 26th rude
It’s probably pretty obvious, but tonight’s Level 1 ride is rained out. We’ve had a great season with only one (or two?) other rain cancelations so we’ve been fortunate that way, but the season’s last evening ride will not happen tonight. Stay dry and warm and we’ll post some daytime and weekend rides when possible.
Monday, September 26th: Level 1 ride
CANCELED. This will be the last Monday evening ride this season! We’ll do as much as we can of the West End Dead End Tour that we can in an hour. Make sure your lights are on your bike!
Tickets for the NHCC Social, Dinner, and AGM on November 9th will be available for sale. $30 each.
Date: Monday, September 26th
Time: 6:00
Meeting Location: park at Westwood and Carlisle
Ride Leader: Dale Pierce
Ride cancellation notice: Thurs., Sept. 22
Cancellation notice: At the risk of getting rained on (as radar suggests may be the case) we are going to cancel tonight’s ride and hope that next Thursday will be a little better. Stay home and stay dry!
Thursday Sept. 22: Evening Ride, about 25km
The sun sets at 7:08 tonight, so we’re only going to get in about one hour of riding. Looking at the weather forecast it appears that tonight will be the last of the relatively warmish evenings. We won’t be riding particularly fast or very hilly, but just getting out to enjoy a little pedal-time. Make sure you have lights on the front and back of your bike, it’s actually the law!
Start time: 6:00pm
Ride Leader: Anita Macklin
Start location: Westwood Park (Carlisle St.)
Route: Mystery route to be determined
Reminder: ride and pot luck this Saturday!
The post went out extra early so people could plan, but the ride and potluck at Richard and Leigh’s is a few days away! Please let them know if you will be there so they can plan accordingly. Leave a comment below and we’ll tell you where they live.
Date: Saturday, September 24th
Time: 10:00 Ride, potluck to follow
Meeting Location: Richard and Leigh’s

Thursday, September 22nd: 100km ride (or make it what you want)
Maria Siemiaszko and Lee Wakelin are going out for Lee’s first 100km ride and if anyone wants to come out with us, you are most welcome to! Be it your first 100km as well, or whether you’ve done plenty, be forewarned that the pace will be not be fast! We’ll be taking breaks along the way too. It’ll be a little different from our usual club route as we’re starting in Colborne and heading east and eventually onto Cty Rd 3 in Prince Edward County, which has some pretty views.
If you want to come out for a Level 2 pace ride but don’t have the time or inclination to ride 100km, you can turn around at any point.
Bring snacks, lots of fluids, and some money. Let us know if you’d like to come out so we can let you know if plans change in any way.
Date: Thursday, September 22nd
Time: 10:30
Meeting Location: Keeler Centre, Colborne
