Monday, September 19th: Level 1 (with a plus) ride

We’ll take a tour of the Grafton area this week on a route Mike S. has created for us. It is mostly flat but there are some ascents that we don’t normally do in Level 1, thus the plus designation. It’s getting dark awfully early so make sure you have your lights!
Our club’s annual meeting will be held at the Best Western on Wednesday, November 9th. The cost is $30 and if you’d like to save your spot, you can bring your money when you show up for the ride. Next week will be the last evening ride so you’ll have to track us down after that! There will be a post with more details for the social, dinner, and meeting coming soon.
Date: Monday, September 19th
Time: 6:00
Meeting Location: parking lot at St. Mary’s School, Station Road, Grafton
Ride Leader: Dennis Benson

  1. Grafton rural ride….. This Monday’s Level 1 ride will be a historic and picturesque ride through the Beautiful “Hamlet of Grafton”, (pop 503, 2004 census). Yes, come out and join us on this fun and educational ride as we roll through the community of Grafton and points south to explore the old and the new. Commentary will be provided by local Grafton residents who are NHCC members. So, meet us at the St. Mary’s parking lot located beside the church and school. Coming from the 401, exit Lyle street and go south down Hwy 2, turn right and then turn left at the ESSO station and go down Station road. You’ll find the parking lot on your left (200m). If coming from points west (Cobourg, Port Hope, Oshawa, Whitby, Toronto) on Hwy 2, once in Grafton, turn right at the ESSO station and go down Station road. Be there or be square…. (They made me say it..).

  2. Following the ride, in keeping with the Monday night apres ride practice, there will be nibblies and homemade pizza at our house. We are just down the street from St. Mary’s.
