It’s a little past mid-summer, and we can certainly feel the days getting shorter—but don’t worry, there’s still plenty of great riding ahead! The weather is warm, the roads are calling, and we have lots to look forward to over the next few weeks.

About the Quality Inn
We stayed here last year and really enjoyed it. The rooms are large and spacious—even big enough to bring your bicycle right into your room! Breakfast is included, and there’s an indoor swimming pool with loungers, perfect for relaxing with a book after a day of riding. There’s also plenty of parking.
Non-Cycling Activities
Not cycling? We’ve got you covered! We’ve put together a selection of self-directed activities for those who want to explore the area while others are out riding.
Options include:
- Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre
- Sainte-Marie among the Hurons
- Hiking at Awenda Provincial Park
- An in-town hike starting right from the hotel and taking in downtown Midland and the waterfront
Take a look at the program and choose what interests you!

Evening ride start times—changing soon!
As the sun sets earlier each day—and the days shorten surprisingly quickly—our evening ride start times will soon need to move earlier.
Starting on or before September 1, evening rides will begin at 5:30 p.m.
Be sure to double-check the ride start time before heading out, as the change may take effect before September 1 depending on sunset and riding conditions.
Club jerseys have arrived!
Good news for everyone who ordered a club jersey: they’re here! Contact us to arrange your pickup. And if you somehow missed the order, we have a very limited number of extras available. They’re being sold at cost for $110, taxes included. There are only a few available, so if you want one, get in touch soon!
Labour Day Ride & Epic Potluck
What better way to celebrate Labour Day than with a ride followed by a feast? On Labour Day, we’ll be hosting our ALL LEVELS: Labour Day Ride & Epic Potluck, following the same format as our popular Canada Day event. We ride. We eat. What more could you want? Details, including the ride information, can be found in the Ride with GPS Events Calendar.
There’s lots more summer riding ahead! The days may be getting shorter, but there’s still plenty of cycling, friendship and fun to come. See you on the road!
