Saturday, October 22nd: Milbrook ride, food, ghost walk

We probably won’t be doing regular rides in October, but that doesn’t mean that we aren’t going to try to get out! Cross your fingers for a gorgeous day Saturday, October 22nd because we want to go for a ride in the Milbrook area followed by a visit to the Pastry Peddlar ( a unique bike shop and restaurant owned by a cyclist) for a bite to eat, then kill a little time before participating in “A Shadow Walk of Milbrook”, put on by the 4th Line Theatre. Whew, that sounds like a busy but fun day!

“A Shadow Walk of Milbrook” weaves a chilling and hilarious tale as we are led through the streets and pathways of Milbrook to explore the paranormal and local stories of ghosts and demons. That should get us ready for Hallowe’en! (boo!).  Tickets are $20, available at: www.4thlinetheatre.on.ca or 705 932 4445 or 800 814 0055.

Join us for any or all of the activities, but if you want to go on the ghost walk it’s recommended that you purchase your ticket as soon as possible before they sell out. Some dates for the walk are already 50% sold out.

The Pastry Peddlar may close at 5:00 that day but they haven’t actually decided yet and may stay open until 6:00. We’re hoping a healthy number for a reservation will help persuade them to do so which would tie in nicely with the walk starting at 7:00. A ride time hasn’t been established yet as we are still working out these details.

So, although this is still a ways off, if you do get a ticket and would like to go for dinner, please comment so we can think about making that reservation!

  1. I have my ticket for the Ghost Walk. Just working on switching work days to participate in the ride and yummy stuff at the Pastry Peddlar! mmmmmm

  2. Hi All,
Deanna isn’t able to go to the Ghost Walk, so I was able to buy her ticket from her. Hoping the Pastry Peddler Food outing works out. If youre still booking reservations, I’d love to join.
See you all on the 22nd

  3. Okay, so I’m thinking that the forecast isn’t the greatest, so I vote for a hike. But I’ll let Maria weigh in on the final plan.

  4. I called the Pastry Peddlar and they close at 5:00. Is anyone interested in meeting at Rhinos in Bewdley instead beforehand? Or is there another restaurant in Millbrook that people like?

  5. I was thinking of meeting at the Pastry Peddlar at 3:30 then going for a hike before the Ghost Walk. There are some really nice trails in and around town. What do you think?

  6. Me too! I’m going to wear layers and bring really warm clothing for the Ghost Walk. I don’t think that we’ll be walking quickly for that one!
