Come join Liz and Bob to learn about their epic bike packing trip along the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route. This local couple challenged themselves this past summer riding 68 days (including 4 rest days) from Banff, Alberta to the Mexico border at Antelope Wells, New Mexico on the Great Divide. They will bring their gravel bikes and kit to discuss the essentials for a successful long distance trip. Pictures will be shared of mountain terrains and basin landscapes that were part of this 4,500 kms route that included 150,000 feet of climbing and 30 continental passes. Recollections of encounters with ” trail angels” that came their way will inspire any rider who wishes to plan a long distance bike packing journey.
