Sunday, November 6th: 38km ride from Donegan Park, (10am)

We’ll take the 38km “It’s all downhill from here” route. There’s a shortcut for those who want to take it too. Looks like sunshine is predicted!

Hey, if you have about 20 minutes to spare, take a listen to this funny CBC podcast about cycling……it’ll make you giggle for sure. It’s actually the last half of the podcast, so if you fast forward to the 33 minute mark, you’ll be at the right start point. CBC Podcast link click here (MP3).

Please indicate that you will join us for the ride.

    • We did the route this morning and the part of Danforth we rode on was fine-no construction. It was a nice ride, and I plan on being there again Sunday!

    • and I realized today that I have finally figured out the gearing on my bike – so my attitude will hopefully be much improved from last Sunday…

  1. I’m going to try the short ride but I’m wondering about the construction on Danforth Rd.; the short ride goes along Danforth for quite a way. Anyone have any suggestions? I’d really like to ride but I think I’d hold others back on the longer route. Besides (drum roll…) I’ll be riding my new bike and have been advised to take it easy while I’m getting used to the new position on the new bike.

    • Hi Pam ! You could probably turn around and go back along highway 2 also if you didn’t like the thought of the Danforth? I got your message at home too – call me if you want to go out tomorrow after you pick up the bike. M

      • or Pam , just stick with us up the hills & if you’ve had enough by the time we pass my house, I’ll drive you back to Donegan Park… lots of options…

  2. Okay, soooooo….
I’m going to ride on Sunday. I’ll just keep repeating to myself, “If I dress warm I won’t be cold, If I dress warm I won’t be cold” I don’t want to be a wimp, so I’ll be there! 🙂 Besides I want to see Pam’s new bike!

  3. The constuction on Danforth only affects the short route, and can be avoided by going south at Brookside road to Hwy. 2. I did this route on Thursday. Constuction is West of Brookside Rd. I plan on riding if the weather is good.

  4. Hey everyone, don’t forget that the time changed last night……don’t be inadvertently showing up an hour early!
