Sunday October 5th: All Levels ride, Lang Hastings Trail

It’s off-season (somewhat) so that’s when we start to do things a little different. Weather permitting we’ll ride the Lang Hastings trail, a crushed limestone multipurpose trail. One way to the Peterborough end of the trail is just over 30km, but riders can do the entire distance there and back or turn around at any point.

Please note the afternoon start. With the weather predicted to be cooling off again, it’ll hopefully give a chance for any fog to burn off and the temperature to warm up. Bring lots of fluids and a snack. If anyone wants to drop in at Banjos afterwards, make a comment on the site.

Date:  Sunday, October 5th
Time: 1:00 pm
Meeting Place:  parking lot south of Banjos in Hastings, south of the bridge (west side), Hwy 45
Ride Leader: Maria Garrett

    • You have the take the road across the street from Banjos then follow a couple of side strees from there. Not the easiest to find and the trail is not nearly as nice (mountain bike?). The trail from Campbellford to Sterling is isupposed to be better.

I’ll be at the ride Sunday if it’s not miserable out!

      • I have a race to defend on Sunday.
Tuesday, by tradition I will be riding 87 KM (54miles) and the trail will be a memorable place to ride.

  1. We will be there and at banjos afterwards — are we still on as rain is expected at at least a 50% probability
