Update from Sharon Lynn-Weese on the “Tour des Trees”

Hello from Oregon!
I just completed day 4 of my 7 day Tour des Trees adventure. Today was an 84.9 mile ride up Mt. Hood to the Government Camp. (lots of long tough climbs…miles and miles!!) It’s such a beautiful area…covered in a blanket of trees and the fresh Mountain air is so refreshing.

We’ve had several tree plantings, dedications and education events along the way. Tomorrow is a 101 mile ride into Hood River with tree planting and dedication at Hood River Park followed by a 74 mile ride back into Portland where we’ll attend an education event and tree planting at the Randall Children’s Hospital. The last day (Saturday) is the ‘Ride for Research’ where local people sign up to do a 20 mile loop with the 100+ Tour des Trees riders.

So there you have my mid-week update. I wanted to THANK YOU again for your generous support in helping me raise money, awareness and tree plantings for the Canadian TREE Fund. Attached is a picture from today’s Mt. Hood climb.
Thanks again!!
Sharon
