The days are getting shorter so we will now start our evening rides at 6:30 pm. This will be an EASY ride, as we keep in mind that some may be preparing to do the 100k this weekend.

I can participate if you start around 7pm. I am an interested new member. Do I have to have the OCA insurance to participate in this event?

All season long we’ve started at 7:00 but since the days are getting shorter, we now have to push the time to 6:30. As far as OCA insurance—the rules that govern insurance coverage for the club require that every person has the insurance in order to ride. Once we have your membership paperwork in hand, with a signed OCA waiver and fees, you would then be considered a member and covered by the insurance. You can bring the paperwork/payment to the beginning of a ride and someone there will collect it from you. Please note that membership is per calendar year and expires on December 31st. (Again, this is in accordance with the OCA rules that govern us.) Total membership fee would be $42, of which $27 of it goes to the OCA and the remaining $15 is for the club. All that being said….we’re looking forward to meeting you (hopefully).

I cannot ride tonight. Are any of the wonderfully experienced folks in our club riding and can lead the ride?
I’ve posted a route map to Wicklow Beach and Back. (Starting at the Arena though). However, those who are in attendance at the ride are welcome to override and choose a different route if desired. 🙂 Please print out the map if you need it.
