Northumberland Hills Cycling Club (NHCC) is the largest and most active cycling club centred around Cobourg, Ontario. With 100+ fun people to ride with, 11 regular season weekly rides, hiking and snowshoeing in off-season, and endless friendships to be made!

Tuesday, February 5th:. Morning Hike

We’ll meet 9:30 behind Craft Food House in the parking lot, walk the neighbourhoods east and most north of King Street, to return for coffee at Craft. Distance about 7km.

Thursday Night Hike February 7th – Cobourg

Please note change of town for February hikes.

We will meet in front of Victoria Hall in Cobourg and then do a semi-urban hike of 7 to 9 kms.  After the hike, we usually go out for refreshments and a snack.

These hikes are free to non-members. We just need a signed off-seaon waiver (see right side of NHCC homepage).

Friday, February 1st: Afternoon Ski

The trails are in excellent shape and it’ll be a couple of degrees warmer Friday so we’ll get out for another ski.
I won’t be skiing this weekend so if anyone else would like to organize a cross country ski (or snowshoe), send me all pertinent details and I can post it for you.

Thursday, January 31st: Afternoon Ski

The conditions are very good and although the temperatures are cold it is possible to have a great ski and stay warm (or even too hot if you overdress…). We’re going to make the most of the snow while we have it! Again, we can decide what we want to do when we meet.

Tuesday Morning Hike: January 29th

Let’s meet in the parking lot at Hwy 401 and 45. We will head north on Division Street and take in the views and residences of Sky Valley, returning the same way back to the parking lot. Social and coffee after at Craft or Dutch Oven.

Thursday Night Hike January 31st

We will meet in the parking lot at the Port Hope Town Hall at 6:00 and then do a semi-urban hike of 7 to 9 kms.  After the hike, we usually go out for refreshments and a snack.

Last week was a very short hike due to icy conditions. Fortunately Local No. 90 was open.

These hikes are free to non-members. We just need a signed off-seaon waiver (see right side of NHCC homepage).

We will meet in the parking lot at the Port Hope Town Hall at 6:00 and then do a semi-urban hike of 5 to 8 kms.  So far this year we have gone west and east. This week maybe we will go north.  After the hike, we will probably go to Nookies Soul Kitchen for wings and refreshments.

We will meet at the West entrance of the Northumberland Mall at 9:30.
We will walk through New Amherst and back along Brunham Street and Carlisle Street to the mall. We can gather after at the Dutch Oven for coffee and social.
