ALL THE WHEELY FUN CLUB NEWS!

Level 1 Ride – Monday, June 18th

Monday, June 18th

Let’s have a repeat of last week’s fun ride. Debbie will be leading a Port Hope ride that goes from Beatrice Strong Public School down to the lake and back on quiet residential streets.
Ride Leader: Debbie Parks
Time: 6:30
Meeting Location: Beatrice Strong Public School, note this change to the SOUTH parking lot since the north parking lot was busy with ball games going on in the park, 90 Roseglen Road North, Port Hope

ALL LEVELS RIDE & SOCIAL – Wednesday, June 20th

It’s that social time again!  We had a great turn out last month so let’s repeat our venue and route.   All Levels Rides are a monthly opportunity for all NHCC members to ride together, with the option to try out one of the other levels on an out-and-back route where nobody gets lost.

There will be 4 designated pace-setters among the group, riding at each of the NHCC defined Levels (1-4). Just pick the level you want to try, and follow that pace setter to see what riding at that level really feels like. If you change your mind mid-ride, no problem, just slow down and wait for a group that’s riding at the speed you like. The All Levels Ride is ideal if you think you’d like to feel what the other levels are like without committing.

It’s easy: We ride for 45 minutes (or less depending on your Level) then turn around and head back the same way you went. This ensures everyone finishes at the same time for the optional social part where we head indoors for drinks, wings, social time and meeting others.

Time: 6:30–8:00pm (ride) 8:00-9:30pm (social)
Start location: The parking lot at Franks Pasta and Grill

Sunday, June 17th – A Shorter Club Ride

This coming Sunday is Father’s Day so to free up your day we’re having a shorter club ride.  We will meet at King’s Field in Port Hope at 9:00 am.  We’ll ride out Lakeshore Road to the west, past Port Granby as far as the railroad tracks.  Then we will turn around and come back.
If anyone would like to extend the ride, you can cycle in from Cobourg or cycle further to the west than the rest of the group.
This ride and route is suitable for those Level 2 riders who would like to try riding a little further. There are some hills but no significant climbs.  There will be stops as needed.  As usual, this Sunday ride will be a no drop ride.  So give it a try!
Apres ride at Coffee Public downtown Port Hope if anyone is interested.
