This weekend we will ride on Saturday and Maria is taking us out of town to explore some new roads! We will start in Campbellford and cycle to Tweed. Then explore a different return route back to Campbellford. This will be a long ride, so please bring snacks/lunch and plenty of fluids. Riders can stop at the park in Tweed for lunch, where there will also be options to fuel up and refill water if needed.
Start Time: 10:00 am
Start Location: The parking lot on Saskatoon Avenue, which is at the north entrance to Ferris Provincial Park
Route: Link on Ride with GPS
Distance: 106 km
Après ride – if anyone is interested we can go for food/drinks at a local establishment in Campbellford.
Ride with GPS shows this route as having 477m of elevation which sounds downright flat for this area ( barely more than the Cobourg- Presqu’ile route) . Can anyone who’s done the route confirm if this is a flat-ish route ? Yes, this will influence my answer to the question : To Ride or To Not Ride !
It’s not as flat as the ride to Brighton. There are some hills but much of the route is rolling and the last stretch before Campbellford is definitely quite flat. I think it’s similar elevation to Monday’s level 3 ride but spread out over double the distance. Hope this helps!
Wish I could be there but not possible. Have fun and hope to do this ride with you again!
I will be there hopefully
I thought I had already responded with a yes but don’t see it
