Level 4 Ride: Thursday Sept. 27 at 5:30pm

The sun is scheduled to shine, there’s 17c in the forecast and we have 90 minutes for a bike ride! We’ll ride out-and-back (Waterfront Trail westbound), ensuring we complete the ride by the time it’s dark. 45 minutes out, 45 minutes back. Short, simple, & fast! It’s Level 4, so expect some speed, but if you just want to lollygag, that’s okay too. We’ll buddy up so nobody rides alone, and we’ll all start and finish at the same time. Recharge your lights tonight and be prepared! Starting at Westwood Park.

Start time: 5:30pm
Ride Leader: Anita Macklin
Sunset: 6:59pm
Route map: not required (Waterfront Trail Westbound)
Start location: Westwood Park (Carlisle St., Cobourg)

Level 4 ride: Tuesday Sept. 18 (Final Level 4 ride)

Tuesday Sept. 19: Level 4 ride (90min)

Another hot sunny day for us! And we’re going for some speed on the flats. Meet at Donegan Park and we’ll head out Waterfront Trail Eastbound for 45 minutes then return. Easy stuff, no hills, but that means you can ride crazy fast! Please note that this will be the last official Level 4 Tuesday evening ride of the season. Days are getting just too darn short! There’s still the All Levels Ride on Wednesday though folks, so it ain’t over yet! Watch for rides on weekends and the occasional weekdays as weather permits.
Ride Leader: Anita Macklin
Start time:
5:30pm
Sunset: 7:16pm
Route: no map required, take Waterfront Trail East
Start location: Donegan Park (D’Arcy St.)

NOTICE: No Level 4 ride on Thursday

Note: Due to the All Levels Ride the previous night, there will not be a Level 4 ride on Thursday.

Friday Floater Ride: Sept. 14th Starting in Centreton

This week the Friday Floater ride is going to take place starting in Centreton. Distance should be somewhere between 50 and 60km, likely a few hills (cuz there are always those!) The route map will be posted soon! Let us know if you plan to ride….leave a comment!

Ride Leaders: Maria, Randy, and Anita
Start time: 10am
Route map: “Centeton Loops” route map on Ride With GPS here
Start location: The main intersection in Centreton (near the library, at the intersection of County Rds 22 and 23)

Notice of ride change: Tonight’s Level 4

CHANGE OF PLANS FOR Level 4 TONIGHT: So here’s the deal. Apparently the CCC’s time trials are being held on the originally planned route, so we’ll switch the ride over to Port Hope, starting at King’s Field tonight. Same as the original plan, except we are going to follow the Waterfront Trail out and back for 45 minutes each way WESTBOUND.

Start time: 5:30
Start location: King’s Field in Port Hope (Victoria St.)

Level 4 rides: Tuesday Sept. 11 and Thurs Sept. 13

Tuesday Sept. 11: Level 4 ride (90min)

The forecast may be rainy, but if it remains clear we’ll ride. There’s no ride leader for Tuesday night so the ride will be self-led by those who come out. Keeping it simple—meet at Kings Field in Port Hope and head westbound on the Waterfront Trail for 45 minutes and return. That’s makes for 90 minutes of riding at the speed you like!
Start time: 5:30pm
Sunset: 7:29pm
Route: no map required, take Waterfront Trail West
Start location: Kings Field, Port Hope (Victoria St.)

Thursday Sept. 13: Level 4 ride (39k)

The forecast indicates warmth is returning on Thursday so to make it that much more fun it’s Big Hilly Ride night! That means Bickle Hill and some little Jamieson Twins just to make it even better. Don’t let a few little hills scare ya! There are a few downhills to get excited about too!
