Evening Hike: Thursday December 1st, 6:00pm

We had at least a dozen people last week, and it felt just like old times when we all went into the Beamish House for beer, fries, fish tacos & other delicious things.  This week we’ll go other places in Port Hope as we explore the streets, nooks & crannies. You never know where we’ll go (as they’ll tell you, given last week!). So bring a headlamp or flashlight and wear good footwear! We’ll likely go for somewhere between 1.5 and 2 hours of brisk walking.  When we’re all done, you can decide to opt-in to the restaurant outing or just head back home.  No need to decide till the time comes.

All NHCC members and Guests are welcome! Guests will need to bring a signed waiver, however (available on the website).

Start time: 6:00pm
Start location: Port Hope Town Hall parking lot
Hike Leader: Anita & Randy
RSVP: Please RSVP using your Cycle Club account so we know to expect you! (or leave a comment on the website)

Ride Cancellation Notice: Sunday August 21

RIDE CANCELLATION NOTICE for Sunday August 21: So unfortunate! All those wonderful pies! But alas, the radar shows rain, and it’s not likely to turn into sunshine anytime soon. There are a few surrounding communities with severe thunderstorm warnings in effect. The good news is that you all have pies already made for dinner tonight! Sorry……but we have to cancel the Pie Potluck Ride.  Looks like I’ll have to figure out something else for my pecan pie with chocolate and bourbon!

Rides for the week of: Monday May 30th-Sunday June 5th

We are switching things up a little this week. The Thursday ride is taking place out of town (near Trenton) for all levels, going on the Lock & Rock & Roll route.  It’s a beauty route that will take you along totally off-road paths and you’ll see the Bleasdale Boulder and a number of Locks on the Trent-Severn. Also, we’re hoping for some nice weather this weekend because Saturday we are having an All-Levels Ride & Social event (BYOB and a lawn chair), and Sunday is the “Bike for the Planet” event that we are hoping NHCCers will come out and support—It’s free. No fee, no fundraising!
