Canada Day Bike Ride & Pot Luck

John and Barb who ride with the Ganaraska Freewheelers are sponsoring a ride on Canada Day this year. They have kindly extended an invitation to the Northumberland Hills Cycling Community to join them in celebrating Canada Day with a bike ride and picnic/pot luck afternoon.

The ride starts at 10:00 am and will be the East Danforth route, 50k or 33k, beginning and ending at the home of Barb and John. A pot luck lunch/whatever will follow the ride.

Please RSVP to let us know you are interested. (CLICK HERE). A detailed invitation will be forwarded to you with a link for the route map and directions to Barb and John’s house.

  1. So, here’s the scoop: I have no bike because Randy took it to Niagara Falls for the upcoming Waterfront Tour. Randy may ride (if I let him) 🙂 and we both plan to come for the famous food afterward, cuz we have priorities you know!

  2. The weather forecast is excellent for Thursday, and I encourage as many of you as possible to attend this great event. The cycling route is excellent, and the apres-ride pot-luck will, I know, be wonderful!

  4. Would it be alright if I came for the ride but skipped the Pot luck?
Canada Day I would like to spend some time with my family. I would also like to get out and get some pictures of the ride.

  5. the route you are thinking about since I have not got the info back on the Pot Luck Ride is that the road that heads into Herley Rd? I will try to have a look at it today but last week that road was closed the most of it is dirt mud and pot holes due to construction

  6. My wife and I would like to join tomorrow. Unfortunately our email will not connect to the CLICK button above . Could you provide email, map and invitation. Just curious but are you doing the 50k or 33k ride?

  7. What a wonderful day! It sounds like a fabulous bike ride and of course the soirée afterwards at John and Barb’s house was awesome. Thank you very much, John and Barb for hosting the Canada Day ride and including those who ride with the Northumberland Hills Cycling Community.
