Evening Hike! Thursday November 18, 6pm

It’s a regular weekly thing—Our Thursday evening hike.  We have a reputation for moving pretty quick on these hikes, but this week we will slow down the pace a little to accommodate those who might enjoy a little slower. GUESTS are now welcome! All they need to do is bring along a signed 2021 Off-Season Waiver!

Date: Thursday November 18, 2021
Time: 6:00pm
Start location: Port Hope Town Hall
Planners: Randy and Anita
*All participants (including guests) must be fully vaccinated*

Please RSVP to let us know you will come.

Annual General Meeting: Tuesday November 30 (Evening)

This is just a little pre-announcement so that you can put the Annual General Meeting & Social on your calendars.  We’ll be holding it the evening of Tuesday November 30th (around 6:30), at the Baltimore Recreation Centre. This one is in-person, and the venue is huge enough that everyone can spread out however far you need to feel comfortable! This year we will reflect on 10-Years of the NHCC.

Plan to come on out for the evening! In addition to the required business of electing Directors for the Board and a few other official biz things, we’ll have yummy refreshments, there’ll be those groovy new Club Jerseys to purchase, and of course for this night only, current club members will be able to renew memberships for the best price of the year—$35!

Hey! It’s a Social—all members of the NHCC are welcome to attend, and you are also invited to bring your significant other, who by the way, may also get a membership for $35!!

Thursday November 11: Evening Hike in Port Hope (Bring a friend!)

Let’s hope it doesn’t rain for Thursday’s Evening Hike! And for those who aren’t all that familiar with the Evening Hike, we can tell you that we walk briskly up and down those hills, and get a workout! Sometimes a few of us venture into a local establishment afterward (optional, of course) for a little refreshment—meaning, beer, soft-drinks, heck…maybe even fries! That’s of course, only if you are COVID-comfortable in doing so!

Hey!! The NHCC is once again welcoming GUESTS who may participate in up to 3 NHCC non-cycling activities as long as they bring along a signed 2021 Off-Season Waiver!

Let the NHCC Evening Hikes begin!

We are now in off-season mode, which means that cycling gives way to other pursuits, like Evening Hikes!  Tonight we will start with the first of our regularly planned Thursday evening Hikes. We meet at the Port Hope Town Hall at 6pm, then head out for a walk—up, down, and around the hills of Port Hope, covering somewhere between 5-8 km over the space of 2 hours. Dress in layers….we tend to keep a brisk pace. And bring headlamps….cuz you just never know where we’ll end up.

All NHCC members are welcome! Please RSVP to let us know you will come.

Thursday Afternoon (October 7), 1pm ride (Level 3)

The “regular” season has ended and we are in off-season mode now, but the weather doesn’t get any better than this! Off-season means that we don’t regularly schedule rides, but rather they are weather and ride-leader dependent.  This Thursday afternoon we are going for some distance (not speed) and hoping to do about a 75km ride starting at the boat launch in Brighton just east of the entrance to Presqu’ile.

You can RSVP two different ways (as usual).
