Annual General Meeting open to Members’ Guests

There are 24 more days till the Annual General Meeting. We’re now offering tickets to members’s family and friends who may want to attend. The food should be yummy, the atmosphere faaaaaabulous, and the friendship and conversation lots of fun. Contact Anita by email if you want us to hold a spot for you and your guest. $27 per person includes buffet, tax, & gratuity (drinks not included).

One Free Club Jersey
The first 50 people who purchase tickets will be entered into a draw for a free club jersey! And we all know how super-awesome they look. And if you already have one, you know how a second one always comes in handy.

If you haven’t taken the survey yet, please take a moment to do so. It sure does help us to know what works and what doesn’t when we are planning for next year. Click here to take the survey.

Sunday October 21st: Ride to Bewdley and Back

It’s too early to know about the weather, but at the moment the forecast says 14° and clear. Just like Thursday, this route is 54.4 km long with a hill or two. The Thursday group should be able to report on the condition of Crossen Rd. so we’ll be able to know whether or not we need to circumvent that.

Scenic-paced group: Rumour has it that some stay home because they don’t want to “hold anyone back” by riding at a comfortable leisurely pace. You’re not alone! Please mention your wish to take it easy by commenting below and chances are good that you’ll find other like-minded folks to ride and chat with.

Start time: 10:00am
Start location: The Mill Restaurant parking lot
Ride Leader (Scenic Group): Volunteer anyone?
Route: Bewdley and Back route map here

Please indicate that you will join us for the ride. Anyone want to volunteer to lead the Scenic Group?

Thursday, October 18th: Ride to Bewdley and Back

It’s been a while since we rode into Bewdley. This route is 54.4 km long and there are a few hills (just sayin…..) We’re not sure about the condition of Crossen Rd., and it’s quite a substantial downhill so we may have to plan an alternative—has anyone checked it out lately and can report on its condition?

You don’t need to ride like the wind, either. If you are wanting to ride but are a little unsure about whether or not you can keep up, please mention it below and you might be surprised to find that there are others who’d love to ride at a nice leisurely pace too!

Start time: 10:00am
Start location: The Mill Restaurant parking lot
Ride Leader: Anita Macklin
Route: Bewdley and Back route map here

Please indicate that you will join us for the ride. (It helps us to know how many to expect, plus it’s fun to anticipate and get excited about seeing everyone!)

Wednesday Oct. 17th: Easy Ride from Donegan Park

There’s only a 30% chance of rain tonight, so the ride is on! It’s only 25km so we should be able to get this ride in before it’s too dark. There are no hills to speak of on this route, so it should be suitable for everyone. Please print out the route map provided.

After this ride, there are only four remaining evening rides.

Start time: 5:30pm
Start location: Donegan Park
Route map: Pebble Beach from Donegan Park route map here

Please comment below if you are coming and please ensure you have working lights on your bikes. See you all there!

Sunday October 14th: Ride from The Mill, 10am

The forecast for Sunday is 19° which is warm, but showers (at the moment) Let’s hope the showers stay away because it will probably be the warmest day this week. The map says we start at Precious Corners, but we’ll start at The Mill restaurant parking lot instead, giving us some extra distance—about 50km. If you wish to go a little shorter (42km) mention it below and then meet at the corner of Dale Rd. and Cornish Hollow at 10:15am.

Start time: 10:00am (50km)  or 10:15 (42km)
Start location: The Mill parking lot
Route: Harwood and back route map here

Please mention below if you want to ride a little slower or faster than the main group…..this is most helpful to others who would love to know that there’s someone riding at their speed!
