This weekend is a long weekend and many will be out of town. But for those who remain, we’ll do the Rice Lake Ramble which is a classic Freewheelers route. Three distances to choose from, so there’s something for everyone. The start location will be at the Arena on Furnace St. rather than the Marina as indicated on the map.
Note that this is also the route that we’ll be doing on the weekend of September 15th with the folks from the Welcome Cyclists tour package. So it gives us a chance to preview the road conditions. 🙂
Start time: 9:00am
Start location: The Arena on Furnace St.
Route Maps Below:
Long route (87 km)
Medium route (74 km)
Short route (61km)
Please comment below to let others know which distance you plan to do. It’s the best way to ensure that you will have others to ride with!
I plan on the long route
unfortunately I can’t ride – enjoy!
Short or medium route for me.
Roberto. 🙂
If it is dry, I’ll ride the long or medium route
If it’s not raining I’ll be there and plan to do the long route.
Long or the medium route
I will do the long route…..and so will Vivian (cuz I just know she will want to). 🙂
Randy is brewing so won’t be riding.
weather permitting of course (although we have been known to ride in downpours before)
But only under coercion!!
Too stormy for me, I am not riding today!
As Anita knows, I was already caught in at least one downpour recently!
Don’t we know it! wind, rain, heat….. we had all the extremes.
What are the weather conditions in OCbourg? Windy and some clouds up here.
very windy – “blow your house to Oz” windy… at least in Baltimore.
nope, coffee & library books…
Thanks M, are you riding?
Riding out with the Pirates so I won’t be out for the Rice Lake ride.
I too think I will sit this one out.
Thanks for the timely updates, I will sit this one out.
It would be great to do this ride this Monday morning! Who is intrested in heading out?
Same time, same place?
Rick and I were the only riders. We chose a “turn when we want root” that went north and west for a total of 44kms. A little windy in spots but otherwise a dry, nice ride.
that should be route not root.
I think we’ll plan to do this route on Thursday, since today was a bit of a washout.
