This week we’ll be riding a route Brian Hedney designed for the NHCC a few years ago. The “Western Wanderer” starts at the Gilmers Home Hardware parking lot in order to avoid climbing out of Port Hope. By the way, for those who aren’t sure how it works, the format of the Level 3 and 4 rides are such that we do the same ride on both Thursday and then again on Sunday morning.
Date: Thursday, May 14th
Time: 10:00am
Level of Difficulty: Level 3 or Level 4 (Click here to review the expectations)
Route Map: Printable route map here
Start Location:Gilmers Home Hardware parking lot in Port Hope under the big sign.
Ride Coordinator: Anita Macklin
Bring your membership card or completed membership/guest rider form and payment.
Leaving a comment: Why do we ask you to do this? Sometimes people are apprehensive about coming out for a ride because they believe there won’t be anyone to ride with at their pace. Leaving a comment to indicate that you’ll be joining us and what level you plan to ride helps reassure others and allows them to plan ahead.
I am no level 4 rider but I am comfortable calling myself a level 3 😀 I will be there!
I will ride if the weather cooperates but I am confused about the starting point. Is there an option to start at Gilmer’s Home Hardware in Port Hope or is everyone starting in Cobourg?
I plan to ride (at level 3). See you at Gilmer’s!
I will be there, riding level 4, but also willing to stay with the group if that’s what seems most natural. (Anita)
I’ll be tearing out old fences and gardens so will have to miss this ride, but looking forward to Sunday (if not one or two rides before then!)
