Northumberland Hills Cycling Club (NHCC) is the largest and most active cycling club centred around Cobourg, Ontario. With 100+ fun people to ride with, 11 regular season weekly rides, hiking and snowshoeing in off-season, and endless friendships to be made!

Thursday Night Hike November 21st
We will meet in the parking lot at the Port Hope Town Hall at 6:00 and then do a semi-urban hike of 5 to 8 kms.
Last week we found the “Record Collection”, had lots of laughs and ended up at Nookie’s Soul Kitchen after the hike.
These hikes are free to non-members. We just need a signed off-seaon waiver (see right side of NHCC homepage).

Tuesday Morning Hike: November 19th
Petra will lead the group on a 6.08 km hike in the east end of town. This will be followed by social time at Craft Food House for those who would like to stay on for it. Please note the earlier start this week.

Reminder: Evening Hikes start tonight
Tonight (Thursday) we will start our weekly evening urban hike. Please bring a headlamp in case we find ourselves in dark alleys or something. See you all at 6:00. Bring a few $$ if you feel like post-hike wings & beer.
Skiiiiiiiiiinnnnnngggg!!! Tuesday afternoon 2:00
We have snow! Dig out those skis and meet us at Beagle Club Trailhead for 2:00. There are a few routes to try, so we’ll make a consensus before heading out. There is a beginner trail if you are feeling a little apprehensive after those skis have sat motionless in the garage for so long. Bring a thermos of hot chocolate to enjoy afterward.

After meeting behind Craft Food House, we’ll head east along the Waterfront for a loop of 6 to 7 km in Cobourg’s east east end, returning to Craft for those who want to stay for an aprés-hike coffee.

Sunday Morning Hike: November 10th
We’ll meet at the Woodland parking lot in the Northumberland Forest then head over to Dunbar for a fairly flat hike of a couple hours in duration. Dressing in layers is always a great idea with the cooler weather ( in bright colours since it’s hunting season), and don’t forget fluids and an optional snack.

Tuesday Morning Hike: November 5th
We will start at 874 Joan Chalovich Way in New Amherst. Our hike leader will be Petra Hartwig Our hike will be centered in the west end starting in New Amherst where we will walk in mainly forested areas. It will be wet from the grasses so boots and appropriate gear is recommended.
Coffee and refreshments will be provided by Petra following the hike (thanks Petra!)

If you haven’t blown away with those winds we experienced the past couple of days, come join us for a hike Sunday morning. Don’t forget the time changes so enjoy that extra hour of sleep before heading out. Forestry operations at Beagle Club have been delayed until December so we’ll take advantage of their trail while we can. Bring fluids and a snack.
