CANCELLED: Due to poor weather we are cancelling the morning ride.
Can’t say for sure what the weather will do, but if it cooperates there will be a Thursday morning ride at 10:30am. Please leave a comment if you are planning to ride, it helps Geoffrey plan a little in advance regarding route and pace.
Start time: 10:30am
Ride leader: Geoffrey Honey
Start location: The industrial parking lot at 210 Wilmott St.
So how ’bout it? You gonna ride? Let us know!
Reminder of the Halloween Spooky Ride/Hike and Potluck
Well okay, maybe it won’t be too spooky, but it will be fun. This Saturday is Halloween and it’s forecast to be 10c so we may indeed get a ride in before our social event for NHCC members & friends! It’ll be fun to dress up scary and make spooky potluck things, but if you really just wanna be “normal” that’s okay too, just come out and enjoy! Check out all the details of the Ride & Potluck here.
Tuesday Oct. 27: Morning ride at 10am
Put on a few layers, and some sunscreen too! The sun is going to shine all day tomorrow and it’s going to be 13C so what better to do than to ride your bike. Geoffrey will be leading a ride for any who want to get in yet another ride before the days turn cold.
Start time: 10am
Ride Leader: Geoffrey Honey
Start location: Cobourg Memorial Arena (Furnace St.)
With fewer riding at this time of the year, it’s soooooo appreciated if you could leave a comment if you plan to ride so that Geoffrey knows in advance that indeed there are people coming out to ride. Plus, it encourages others too.
Saturday Oct. 24: Ride at 11am
It’s off-season, but you’d never know it with the great weather we’ve been seeing. If weather permits, there will be a Saturday ride at 11am. All levels are welcome to participate, but the ride will generally be a Level 2+ as far as difficulty. But if you want to make it a longer ride, there may be others wanting to be creative and add in some distance.
Start time: 11:00am
Ride Leader: Roberto Almeida
Start location: Westwood Park (on Carlisle between Westwood and Ewing)
Level of difficulty: 2+
Leave a comment, let Roberto know you are planning to ride. Also, keep your eye on the comments to be sure the ride is proceeding if weather seems iffy on Saturday morning.
Thursday Oct. 22: Ride at 10:30am

Start location: Cobourg Memorial Arena on Furnace St.
Please leave a comment to let Geoffrey know you are planning to ride so he can also plan accordingly.

Thursday Oct. 15: Ride at 10:30am
Geoffrey is planning to head out for a wonderful Autumn ride on Thursday. It’ll be cool, but at least there’s no rain in the forecast and we are still in the double digits for temperature. And with a 10:30 start time, you’ll avoid the chill of early morning.
Start time: 10:30
Ride leader: Geoffrey Honey
Start location: 210 Wilmott St., Cobourg (The industrial parking lot at the old Coke plant)

Indeed it’s time for the 2015 Annual Meeting & Social! Cycling season begins to wind down and we look forward to one of the highlights of our year, the Annual Meeting for all members, their family and friends. By all accounts people really enjoyed the Best Western last year so that’s where we’ll hold it again. Yummy delicious food is always on the menu, and it’s a great opportunity to see everyone without their spandex and helmets on.
We have a little official biz to conduct, but mostly you’ll enjoy a great buffet and an evening of fun and friendship. We’ll be electing one or possibly two members to our Board of Directors, review the past year of cycling, and taking a look forward to 2016.
2016 NHCC Membership Special : The Annual Meeting is the best time to purchase next year’s membership. We will offer 2016 memberships for just $35, on that night only.
IMPORTANT: Tickets must be purchased in advance so that we can provide a final confirmation of numbers to the Best Western. Please print out this form and include with your payment. You can either submit by mail or by dropping it off in person.
Tickets: $25
Date: Wednesday, November 18, 2015
Location: Best Western Hotel, Ballroom B
Time: 6:00pm (Dinner served 7:00pm)
