Ride: Thursday Sep 8th: Waterfront Trail Westbound

This Thursday (and Sunday as well) we’ll take the Waterfront Trail and head west over to Port Hope and continue along the lakeshore. No route map necessary for this ride.

Port Hope provides an opportunity to re-load on drinks or snacks if desired.

Monday, Sept. 5th: Evening Novice Ride (6:30pm)

New start time: 6:30pm

This ride is being posted on the website, but many of the club members will already have rode 106km earlier in the day and may not wish to ride in the evening, but if people wish to get together and do the usual Monday night ride, here is the place to discuss a starting point and a ride leader. Is there anyone interested in leading this ride? We need a leader and a starting point in order for this ride to occur.

Start time: 6:30
Start location: Donegan Park
Ride Leader: ?

Please indicate by commenting if you are interested in riding and also if you wish to lead the ride.

Ride: Sunday September 4th: Town and Country (29.5km) (10am)

Please note that the start time is 10:00am

This ride is going to be an easy 29 km because of the biggy 100km ride that many are doing on the next day (Monday). This is the very first route that we did as a club way back in May. It’s easy, not very hilly, so should be a good ride for all skill levels. This would be a great ride for some of the Monday riders who are looking for a little more challenge.

Start time: 10:00am
Start location: The park on Carlisle St. between Ewing St. and Westwood.

Monday, August 29th: Evening Novice Ride (7:00pm)

This is the last time that the Monday ride will start at 7:00 due to the shorter days, and make sure the ride is done by around 8:00.

Route: To be determined
Ride Leader: Randy Albon

Please indicate by commenting if you will come out for the ride.

Ride: Sunday Aug. 28th: Wicklow Beach and Back (9am)

Like Thursday’s ride, this ride is an “out and back” ride. Riders can turn around at any point to make the ride shorter than the planned 36km—or extend the ride to Colborne or beyond if you want more distance.

We’ll trying something new—there won’t be a ride leader. Instead, riders should plan to break off into smaller riding groups of similar skill, ability, and desired distance.

Start time: 9:00am
Start location: Donegan Park
Route map and directions: “Wicklow Beach” route map

Please comment below if you are coming and also indicate your anticipated distance (or time) so that others can also do a little planning ahead and hopefully everyone will have someone to ride with!

Ride: Thursday Aug. 25th: Wicklow Beach and Back (9am)

We’ll try something different this time. We won’t assign a “leader” this time. After starting, riders should plan instead to break off into smaller riding groups of similar skill and ability.

Wednesday evening Advanced ride: Aug. 24th (6:00pm)

The days are getting shorter, so we’ll ride at 6:00pm and we’ll do the short version of the “Tour de Baltimore” which is 35.5km. Anita will be away this week, so there won’t actually be a ride “leader” this time. Please print out your own maps and bring them with you.

Start time: 6:00pm
Start location: The Mill parking lot
Route map and directions: “Tour de Baltimore” (The short route, 35km)

Please indicate by commenting if you will come out for the ride so other riders know how many to expect.
