Saturday, February 10th: Snow Shoe
The conditions are excellent for snow shoeing so we’re going to break some trails on a private property just north of Castleton. The Leckey property is part of the Northumberland Land Trust and the owners have given permission for a group of us to snow shoe on their scenic land which encompasses hill top views, forest, and fields. If you want to car pool please say so in the comments and hopefully rides can be arranged. Don’t forget to bring water and a snack would be a good idea.
Please let us know if you are coming so we can give the owners an idea of how many people will be showing up. The township plows the road up to the barn and we are asked to park close to the barn. Do not park in front of the garage as it can get icy and vehicles slide towards it!
Start Time: 12:30
Meeting Location: address will be given upon response
Distance: approximately 6km
Hike Leader: Maria Siemiaszko
